Clearly, all of these are interdependent and we recognise that all of our achievements rely on the relationships we have with you for which we are very thankful.
As our business vision is to help organisations worldwide improve their environmental, social and economic performance and thus contribute to global sustainability and given there is still so much we can do and that yet has to be done in this regard, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all you have done to help us achieve what we have in 2005. We extend our best wishes for this season and our hope that we can continue to work together towards an even better 2006.
Seasons greetings from all of us at Entropy International
Introduction
Web-based applications are notoriously inadequate when it comes to reporting functionality, with data querying and presentation often not reflecting the richness of data input. This paper presents the exciting new querying and reporting output functionality that is now available through the latest technologies and products, which are bringing first class reporting and presentation functionality into the hands of the software system user rather than the technical specialist.
In recognition of Entropy International's contribution to improving the environmental performance of commercial and public sector organizations, and ultimately our contribution to global sustainability, we are delighted to announce that we are the winners of a Green Organisation Green Apple Award in the Science and Technology category.
Ex-England cricketer, Alan Lamb, presented the trophy to our Managing Director, Carl Mead, at a glittering awards ceremony held on the Terrace at the Houses of Parliament, London, UK, on November 8th, 2005.

In 2005, Entropy International adopted a new approach to engaging our stakeholders in the development of the Entropy System, aligned with the flexible workflow-based product offering that was outlined in the Q3 newsletter. Workflows such as Incidents and Investigation Management and Performance Management can be implemented as individual workflow solutions or combined to form a complete management system solution.
Accordingly, internal workflow teams have been created within Entropy International for each of the seven key workflows (Risk Identification and Assessment, Action Tracking, Audit and Compliance Management, Incidents and Investigation Management, Performance Management, Knowledge Management and Training Management) and also for the core elements of the system (User Interface, Reporting, Users and Access, Organisation Structure, Customisation/Configuration/Implementation, Mobile Devices).
The internal workflow teams consist of a workflow champion and representatives specializing in requirements, programming, project implementation, and sales and marketing. Each team also works directly with a corresponding Special Interest Group that is led by a customer champion. Customer engagement on each workflow, in terms of change requests and product improvement discussions, takes place through discussion forums on the customer area of the Entropy International website (Customer Connection), scheduled WebEx/teleconference sessions and prioritization sessions. The first round of formal change request prioritization voting for each Special Interest Group was completed in December.
This programme is central to ensuring the development of the Entropy System is customer-focused and we are looking forward to further engagement with our customers in this way throughout 2006.
The Entropy Webinar Program launched in 2005 has been a great success. Events presented by Entropy in conjunction with DHL, WSP, DNV, ERM and GRI were particularly well attended and the feedback we have received has been excellent. The subjects covered by these events ranged from management of non-financial data and ISO 14001 implementation, through to reporting against the GRI sustainability guidelines and the business benefits of implementing the Entropy System Dashboard. The events focusing on the workflows within the Entropy System that were held for our customers and alliance members were also popular and proved beneficial for all involved.
The program is going to continue throughout 2006 and the following events are initially scheduled for the start of the year:
January 2006
11th How to Ensure Successful EHS Management Business Projects
24th Knowledge Management (Customers)
25th Knowledge Management (Alliances)
More events are planned for 2006, so keep an eye on our Events page to ensure you get a place on one of these informative webinars.
